Google Ads audit

A fixed-fee, fixed-scope audit of your Google Ads account, tracking and landing pages. I go through the account the way I would if I were taking it over, using audit scripts I have built and refined across accounts, so the work is consistent, repeatable and fast.

The twelve checks

  • Conversion action inventory: counting types, primary flags, and what bidding actually optimises to
  • Overlapping and duplicate purchase tags inflating reported sales
  • Search terms and the zero-sale waste ledger: every keyword spending with nothing to show for it
  • Bid strategy and target change history
  • Quality score pivoted to landing page level, weighted by impressions
  • Final URL health across ads, keywords, sitelinks and asset groups
  • Disapprovals and policy topics
  • Invalid click rates by campaign
  • Budget allocation, pacing and impression share
  • Attribution integrity, including cross-domain and consent configuration
  • Spend against a daily sales heartbeat: any day of spend without sales, flagged
  • Account change history lined up against the performance timeline

What you get

  • A findings document in plain English, every claim backed by data from your own account
  • A prioritised fix list split into what can change same-day, what needs your site, and what needs your agency
  • A 60-minute walkthrough call
  • Delivered within 5 working days of access

In one recent 30-day audit I found 16% of total spend, over £35,000, going to keywords that had never produced a sale.

Common questions

What access do you need?
Read-only access to Google Ads and GA4 is enough for the audit. I will send a two-line guide for granting it.
Will you pitch me a retainer afterwards?
No. The audit is designed to stand alone. If the findings point to work I could do, I will say so once, plainly, and leave the decision with you.
My agency says everything is fine.
Then the audit will confirm it, and that is worth knowing too. Most audits find a mix: things done well, things drifting, and a few things nobody knew about.
